Durango Home Search: A Community-Driven Real Estate Website with Showcase IDX for Kim Rodgers

The challenge

Durango is a mountain market where buyers, many relocating from out of state, research neighborhoods long before they visit. Kim Rodgers needed a website that captured those early searches on her own domain instead of sending them to national listing portals, and that showed her deep knowledge of Durango’s distinct communities, from golf and ranch communities to in-town condos.

The site had to make live listings easy to search, turn anonymous visitors into registered leads, and stay fast enough to rank well and work smoothly on mobile.

What we did

The X Concept built a community-focused WordPress website with Showcase IDX at its core.

• Showcase IDX integration: Live MLS listings on Kim’s own site, with search by price, beds, baths and advanced filters.
• Saved-search lead capture: A Save Search feature and guest sign-in let visitors track the homes they want, while giving Kim a growing list of registered buyers.
• Durango community pages: Dedicated pages for Dalton Ranch, Edgemont Highlands, Edgemont Meadows, Edgemont Ranch, Falls Creek Ranch, Sky Ridge, The Glacier Club, Three Springs, Twin Buttes and Durango condos target hyper-local searches.
• Surrounding areas: Coverage of nearby communities such as Bayfield extends Kim’s reach across La Plata County.
• Buyer and seller resources: Dedicated Buyers and Sellers sections plus a blog support each stage of the transaction.
• Personal branding: A custom logo, professional headshot and About page tell Kim’s story, from new construction sales in 2005 to Durango resale since 2015.
• Performance and tracking: WP Rocket caching for fast page loads and Google Tag Manager for analytics and conversion tracking.
