The rules for using thexconcept.com. Client services are covered separately by a written estimate or agreement.

These terms apply to your use of thexconcept.com (the “site”), run by The X Concept, a business owned and operated by Charles Oreve in San Diego, California (“I”, “me”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Website only, not a service agreement
These terms cover the website. Website development, SEO, marketing and IT services are provided only under a separate written estimate, proposal or agreement, which controls if it conflicts with these terms. Nothing on the site, including prices, timelines or examples of past work, is an offer to provide services until we agree in writing. Browsing the site, emailing me or booking a call does not create a client relationship.
2. Using the site
You may browse, read, share links to and print pages for your own information or to evaluate my services. You agree not to:
- use the site in a way that breaks the law or anyone’s rights;
- try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its server or accounts, or test its security without written permission;
- send malware, spam or automated traffic that disrupts or overloads the site;
- copy large parts of the site to publish elsewhere, or frame it to appear as someone else’s;
- impersonate me or misrepresent a connection with The X Concept.
Search engines and AI assistants are welcome to index and quote the site with attribution; the llms.txt file summarizes it for them.
3. Content and intellectual property
The text, design, code, graphics and photographs on the site belong to The X Concept or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. “The X Concept” name and logo are my trademarks. Client names, logos and screenshots shown in case studies belong to their owners and are shown with their permission to describe work I did for them; they do not imply endorsement beyond what the case study says. WordPress, Google, ChatGPT and other product names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe services.
4. Case studies, reviews and results
Case studies describe real projects and results for specific clients at a specific time. Results depend on many factors outside my control, so they are not a promise of similar results for you. Reviews come from Google and are shown as written (sometimes shortened). See the Disclaimer for more.
5. Information on the site
Articles and pages share general information about websites, SEO, AI search, marketing and technology. They are not legal, financial, tax, medical or compliance advice. Pages that mention laws or regulations (for example accessibility, privacy, HIPAA or attorney advertising rules) explain how I approach them in website work; please confirm requirements for your business with a qualified professional.
6. Booking and communications
Calls are booked through Calendly, whose terms also apply to the booking. When you contact me, you agree that I may reply by email or phone about your enquiry. I will not add you to a newsletter without your permission, and every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
7. Third-party links and tools
The site links to client websites and third-party services that I do not control. I am not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, I disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and I do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, The X Concept and Charles Oreve will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost profits, data or business, arising from your use of the site. My total liability for any claim related to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Liability for paid services is governed by the agreement for those services.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless The X Concept and Charles Oreve from claims and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your misuse of the site or breach of these terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to the site will be handled exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact me so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days.
12. Changes and general terms
I may update these terms by posting a new version with a new date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy policy and Cookie policy, are the whole agreement about the site.
