Specialized Security

Specialized security website. TXC case study for Specialized Security, focused on web development in San Diego, CA.

Specialized Security

The challenge

Specialized Security Corporation is a veteran-owned company providing live remote security monitoring, founded by Dane Stordahl, a Marine Corps veteran and former K-9 law enforcement handler. It had a serious product but a forgettable web presence.

Its buyers are property managers, apartment complex owners and real estate developers, many of them tired of AI-only security systems that raise false alarms. The company needed a site that could carry an enterprise B2B sales conversation through a long buying cycle, and a foundation strong enough to support its planned expansion from Southern California to a national footprint.

What we did

Funnel first, homepage second

We started by asking what a property manager needs to believe before picking up the phone: that the company is credible and established, that human monitoring beats AI-only systems, that the service scales from 50 to 500 units, and that the team can be trusted. Every page was built to move prospects through those beliefs. The homepage establishes credibility, Services handles objections, About builds trust and Why Choose Us closes.

A focused hero section

The homepage opens with a full-screen, optimized background video of live monitoring and one clear headline: Live Remote Monitoring That Protects Properties 24/7. Three trust signals follow (Veteran-Owned, Live Operators, Proactive Security), then a low-barrier call to action: a Free Security Assessment.

Layered service content

We presented the five services as a layered educational experience. Each block explains what the service is, what it monitors or controls, how it works and its key benefits. Three integrated scenarios (unauthorized vehicle entry, a banned individual returning and package theft prevention) show the systems working together, so buyers can see themselves in the solution.

Transparent packages

We published four service packages (Essential, Professional, Premium and Custom), each mapped to a property type and unit count, so prospects can qualify themselves and reach out with context.

An About page that proves the product

We connected the founder’s background to the product’s superiority: the problem he saw, his vision for combining technology with trained human oversight, and the results achieved. We also detailed the security analysts’ hiring standards, the 80-hour training program and the cap of 15 cameras per analyst.

Design and device strategy

  • A deep, near-black palette with gold accents, layered diagonal imagery and custom section dividers, without heavy JavaScript
  • Bold, legible typography and real imagery of monitoring operations, access control hardware and properties
  • A fully responsive build, with hierarchy and content depth tuned for a desktop-first buyer audience
