Folds of Honor

The challenge

The Folds of Honor Golf Tournament at The Vineyard at Escondido needed a website, VineyardCharityGolf.com, to act as the main hub for event information, player registration and sponsorship opportunities.

The site had to reflect the tournament’s patriotic mission, be easy for organizers to update, handle online payments and personal data securely, and turn visitors into registrants, donors and sponsors.

What we did

Design and front end

• A clean layout with simple navigation and a prominent Register Now button on the homepage
• Colors, typography and imagery aligned with the tournament’s theme and patriotic mission
• A fully responsive build using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and the Bootstrap framework

WordPress back end

We built the site on WordPress so organizers can update event details easily, with SEO-friendly URLs and metadata and plugins for forms, caching and security.

Performance and security

• Minified CSS and JavaScript, WebP images and lazy loading for fast page loads
• SSL encryption for secure transactions, automated backups and CAPTCHA on forms

SEO

We targeted golf tournament, charity event and sponsorship searches, added schema markup, optimized for mobile-first indexing and built internal links and quality outbound links.
