Blue Flame Studio
How the x concept built the new blue flame studio. The X Concept case study for Blue Flame Studio, focused on website design.
The challenge
Blue Flame Studio is the creative studio of artist and storyteller Judith Aram, known for bold artistry and vibrant illustrations. She wanted more than a portfolio: a website that reflected her creative ethos, showcased her artwork and helped her connect with a community of fans and collaborators.
The site needed to be bold, intuitive and immersive, so that visiting it felt like stepping into one of her illustrations, and it had to stand out in a crowded digital world while working well on phones.
What we did
Discovery and wireframes
We started with kickoff meetings with Judith about how visitors should feel and how she wanted to stand out. We then built wireframes that mapped the site structure, including the art gallery, project updates and contact page, with a homepage that leads with her latest projects, clean navigation and mobile-friendly layouts.
Branding and design
We recreated the studio’s brand identity with vivid hues and a playful yet professional feel, drawing on her artwork for a color palette that stands out without overwhelming. For the portfolio, we designed a grid that feeds automatically from Instagram so each piece takes center stage.
Development
- Performance: optimized images and streamlined code for fast loading on slower connections
- Interactivity: a clickable art gallery and a blog for studio updates
- Adaptability: layouts that look as good on phones and tablets as on desktop
Testing, SEO and launch
We tested every button, form and link across browsers, devices and screen sizes, refined details such as button sizes and color contrast, and invited Judith to review the site before launch. For search, we set up her Google Business Profile and added keywords and meta descriptions. We launched with a social media announcement video, and fans visited the site, shared favorite pieces and left Google reviews.
